Welcome to London West End WI

Craft Club

Craft Club next meet: Tuesday 7 November 2017

This Month: Book Binding

At our November craft club Jayne will be teaching us some simple bookbinding techniques to make our own concertina folded books with bound covers.

Bring along any fancy papers you've got to cover your book with (we'll also have some you can use), and a craft knife and mat if you have any.

Jayne will be leading this evening. Contact lwewicraftclub@gmail.com for more information.

Come along to Atlantis Books on Museum Street from 5.30 to 7.30 on the 7th of November

If you'd like more information on Craft Club, we have a dedicated email address at LWEWICraftclub@gmail.com

Last Month: Christmas wreaths
In October we started to get into the festive spirit, with wreaths made out of embroidery hoops, ribbons and rags.

The Craft Club meets at Atlantis Bookshop on Museum Street. Drop in any time after 5.30pm. You'll find us downstairs (shop staff will direct you) gathered around a table with an array of crafty business going on! Non-crafters are welcome to come along, chat, drink and be merry. We also welcome non-members, as it is nice to meet a few people informally before coming along to the big meeting. It is a great place for members to meet each other, share crafty tips and skills, and admire each other's handmade wonders.

There is a small charge for craft club, to cover the cost of the room (usually c.£5, depending on number of attendees), which includes tea/coffee, biscuits and materials, and you'll often make something you can take away. We've done patchwork, knitting, earring making, embroidery and card making, so there's always the chance to learn something new! Meetings are led by members, so if you have a skill you're happy to share with others do let us know!

If you'd like to be added to our dedicated Craft Club mailing list (for notice of upcoming topics, news about events you might be interested in, etc) please drop us a line at lwewicraftclub@gmail.com
