AGM and drama workshop

Our November meeting will begin with our AGM, and as usual we will be joined by representatives of Middlesex Federation to ensure all goes smoothly.

Our AGM is where we review the past year, and the financial accounts. We also elect our committee for 2018, and elect a President for the year. If you're interested in joining the committee, please email us for more information. If you'd like to take up one of the main posts, of President, Secretary, Treasurer or Membership Secretary, do let us know. Members should already have received an email about this, and you have to be a member of LWEWI to have a vote in the election.

Drama Workshop
After the business part of the evening is finished, we'll be having a drama workshop with Matilda Thaddeus Johns.

Matilda Thaddeus Johns is the founder of Tie-Dye Drama, a Theatre in Education organisation that runs drama workshops helping young people improve their emotional wellbeing and life skills using creativity and performance. This interactive session will explore how theatre and the arts can be used to help people engage with contemporary issues in a fun and creative way, as well as giving you the chance to take part in some introductory group drama activities.

Guests are very welcome (£5 for non-WI members). If you're not a member, please email us at londonwestendwi@gmail.com so we know to look out for you!

St George's Bloomsbury, 6 Little Russell Street, London WC1A 2HR. Doors open at 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start.

Please bring along refreshments to share with the group, (they don’t have to be home made!)

Membership for 2017 is £39.00. Membership is non refundable and will expire at the end of the year. Guests are very welcome (£5 for non-WI members). If you would like to come along to the next meeting then email us at londonwestendwi@gmail.com.

Craft Club:    7 November 2017

At November's Craft Club we'll be making bound concertina books, led by Jayne. All materials will be provided. See the Craft Club page for more information.

The craft club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at the Atlantis Bookshop on Museum Street, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.  Come along for a craft lesson, cup of tea and a gossip! There is a small charge, which is dependent on the number of attendees, which covers the cost of the room.
