Main Meeting
Thanks to all those who came to our February meeting, including the lovely ladies of Middlesex Federation. Unfortunately for operational reasons our AGM couldn't take place on the evening, but we will get there!
The ladies from Middlesex explained and thanked us for our votes on the resolutions, everyone's vote gets counted and put forward - there was a question about what resolution we put forward - they will advise us in due course what the Middlesex ladies will vote for at the annual AGM in Bournemouth once all the London WI results are collected.

After the notices we had birthday cake made by Ali, as LWEWI turned 13 on 21st February, the day after our meeting. We also had candles and managed not to cause the smoke alarms to go off!

We spent the evening sewing and gossiping, and made drawstring bags for the Red Box Project. Nicky guided the expert sewers and the newbies through the process, and we made about 12 in all. There were donations of sanitary products and tights to go with the bags.
As a reminder, Claire, our social secretary, has an online survey on what sort of events members might like to attend. You can complete it here.
Craft Club
February Craft Club saw us papercrafting, making woven hearts and folded pyramid gift boxes under the expert guidance of Jayne, with some stunning results.
