At Craft Club we were knitting, making mitred squares for a blanket Nicky is crafting for charity. Everyone from experienced knitters to first-timers came along, and fueled by tea and chocolate we made quite a few squares! At our main meeting we were hands on with making microwave mug cakes in a session led by Helena and involving a lot of chocolate. In the past we've spoken about topics which fit into supposed New Year resolutions (detox etc), but really we all know we'll be eating cake again soon anyway so this year we started as we mean to go on!
We also had a long conversation about our plans for the next year, including venue, plans for getting more members, and potential speakers. Watch this space for more information from your committee.
