At our monthly meeting on 20th April we were led in a session of origami by Seelin Ho, and welcomed a number of first time visitors to our meeting. Starting with a quiz of all things Japanese, we then tried our hand at paper folding, and successfully made flowers, hearts, stars and cranes - amazing!
At Craft Club we spent a merry couple of hours turning old t-shirts into tote bags, without any sewing whatsoever (and powered by tea and biscuits, as always!)

In April some of our members also visited the British Museum for the community preview of the Sicily exhibition. All members have the opportunity to attend these previews, one of the benefits of joining LWEWI. Next month we'll be attending the preview of the BM's Sunken Cities exhibition - see the post below this one for details of how to get tickets.
