Craft Club
We started 2019 off with a jewellery making session at Craft Club, where beaded earrings and bracelets were the order of the day.

Monthly Meeting
Our monthly meeting focussed on winter wellness and foraging, with a fascinating talk and sampling session from Kim of Handmade Apothecary, complete with sampling of elderberry tea, and lots of information about what we could easily forage locally. We're all enthused to go out and start sustainably foraging for wild garlic, cleavers, elderflowers and much more besides!
Coming up in February
A quick reminder that Claude will be hosting a panel discussion about mental health and the stigma surrounding it at the Best of You show at Olympia. February's craft club will be gift bag and box making, on Tuesday 5th.
Our monthly meeting on Wednesday 20th may or may not include our AGM. As well as the AGM (or instead of it) we will focus on bag making for the Red Box Project, which "quietly ensures that no young person misses school because they have their period". We'll be making drawstring bags for menstrual products to be put in - bring along unwanted material for 10x10cm or 20x20cm bags, thread, needles, fabric scissors and ribbon if you have any going spare. You can also bring along pads or tampons to go into the bags. The filled bags are placed in schools, and any girl who needs the products can simply pick one up as required, no questions asked.
