May Meeting: Wed 20th May

Want to be ahead of the younger generation and know more than your kids? Or maybe you are one of the younger generation, and just want to play with some gadgets!

Joining us for the evening will be a speaker from Dragon Hall in Covent Garden, who will be bringing along lots of gadgets for us to play with. Think 3D printers, augmented reality glasses, 3D doodler pens, and lots of other toys that aren't just for the boys! Join us for what promises to be a fun and interactive evening of discovery.

Review of the Month: April

It's been a busy April for the ladies of LWEWI! The month isn't quite over, but our activities for the month are. Hopefully the sunshine is here to stay, and we can all get out and enjoy it!

We began the month with Craft Club; it was meant to be an evening of bunting making, but in the end we did some sewing, making little stuffed decorations from kits supplied by Jane (thanks, Jane!)

Our speaker at the main WI monthly meeting was David Evans of the Soho Society, who spoke to us about some of the issues Soho faces at the moment, and engaged us in lively discussions.

We finished the month's activities with a trip to The British Museum to attend the Community Preview of the Indigenous Australia exhibition. We're posing in front of an art project in the Museum's Great Court, which our talented committee member Helena (on the left) helped to create.
